DirectionsClick on the map to enlargeComing from Brussels via E19 Take highway E19 to Antwerp. At the Craeybeckx-tunnel keep left, following direction ‘Antwerpen-centrum’. At the end of the exit go straight on passing two sets of traffic lights. 30 meters beyond the next two traffic lights, you can presort to go left onto the Jan Van Rijswijcklaan. Continue this road and bear right onto the Lange Lozanastraat at the first traffic lights. Continue this road for approx. 1,5km until you get at big intersection with the Leien (at the left there is a Fortis bank and at on your right the old Palace of Justice. The name of the road has changed to Anselmostraat). Go straight on onto the Kasteelpleinstraat and take the first street on your right side to arrive at the Begijnenvest. Coming from Brussels via A12 : Continue on the A12 and always keep left, direction ‘Antwerpen-centrum’. Next to the 400m long Jan de Vos-tunnel, stay in the left lane. The road will bend to the right and then guide you under the new Palace of Justice onto the ‘Leien’. Bear left at the third traffic lights next to the tunnel (on the right side you’ll see a Fortis bank and on the left side restaurant ‘Ciro’s’). This is the Kasteelpleinstraat. The first street on your right is the ‘Begijnenvest’. Coming from the Netherlands via Breda (E19 from the north): Take the E19 onto the Antwerp ring road and take exit ‘Borgerhout’ after /- 3 km. At the traffic lights near the end of the exit go straight on onto the Plantin en Moretuslei. Go straight on and continue this road under the bridge next to the fourth traffic lights. Driving along the city park the road takes you 4 more lights further to an intersection with the Leien (The building of the ‘Nationale Bank’ is right in front of you). Bear left here and continue on the Leien for 400 meters. At the 2nd lights turn right onto the Kasteelpleinstraat. Take the first street on your right side to arrive at Begijnenvest. Coming from the Netherlands via Eindhoven (E34/E313) : At the end of highway E34/E313 take exit ‘Borgerhout’ (left side !!!). Go straight on and turn left at the first lights. This road is called the Noordersingel, go left at the second lights onto the Plantin en Moretuslei. Go straight on and continue this road under the bridge next to the fourth traffic lights. Driving along the city park the road takes you 4 more lights further to an intersection with the Leien (The building of the ‘Nationale Bank’ is right in front of you). Bear left here and continue on the Leien for 400 meters. At the 2nd lights turn right onto the Kasteelpleinstraat. Take the first street on your right side to arrive at Begijnenvest. Coming from Ghent/Gent via E17 : Take the E17 highway through the Kennedy tunnel onto the Antwerp ring road. Take the 1st exit right after the tunnel, marked ‘Antwerpen-Centrum’ and stay in left lane. Continue on this road, which takes you under the new Palace of Justice, straight onto the ‘Leien’. Continue on the Leien for /- 1km and bear left at the thirds lights (on the right side you’ll see a Fortis bank and on the left side restaurant ‘Ciro’s’). This is the Kasteelpleinstraat. Now you immediately turn right after 20meters and arrive at the Begijnenvest. By train: Take the train to Antwerp Central and go to the Keyserlei which starts at the main exit of the station. Follow this road for about 400 meters to cross the road at the big intersection with the ‘Leien’ (Frankrijklei). Take here the tram or bus and get off at the second stop, called ‘Oud Gerechtsfhof’. At this stop cross the road towards the restaurant ‘Ciro’s’ and walk into the street on your right (Kasteelpleinstraat). Take the first street on your right and you’re in Begijnenvest.
